Birth Doula

My friends and family will tell you I am a strong woman of many talents and interests. I am a wife, a mother, a wine lover, and a New York Giants fan (LOL!). But above all else, I love working with, and caring for, people.

My medical career began just after high school graduation when I attended nursing school. I later joined the Air Force and continued my medical training, becoming an EMT and a Medical Technician. After leaving the Air Force, I went back to college to become a Certified Medical Assistant. Since then, I have worked in several areas of medicine, expanding my knowledge and scope of practice.

Becoming a doula has been a goal of mine since giving birth to my daughter, Jessica. I was a teenager, and my labor/birth experience was fast and very scary. I had no idea what was going on, my doctor was not present, and I was treated awful by the staff… except for the midwife. Through her care, coaching and reassurance, I was able to control my delivery and my daughter was born safely. I resolved to one day provide that same care and support to others during labor and birth.

As your doula, I will be an advocate and partner for you throughout your labor and birth journey. You will have the information and support to make educated decisions for your birth plan, so your experience will be safe, memorable, and joyful.
