  • Cris Puccia

Birth Doula Profile Meet Cris Puccia Birth Doula Hello! My name is Cris — I’m a full-spectrum doula based in Canandaigua, NY. I came to birth work after the birth of my first son, when I found myself wondering if other new parents were struggling (like me) or thriving and had people they could talk to about the realities of birth and parenthood. My own experience inspires my work, where I serve as a compassionate guide for pregnant people and their loved ones. In 2018, I completed birth doula training with Carriage House Birth in NYC and have since joined many birth teams, adapting my support to fit the specific needs of each experience. Today, I am on a continuous journey to deepen my practice of reproductive justice and care work. I support births in Rochester, Canandaigua, and nearby areas. Curious if we’re a good fit? I’d love to connect. https://www.doulanona.com/ 7163162713 cris.doulanona@outlook.com

  • Ashley Wyffels

Postpartum Doula Profile Meet Ashley Wyffels Birth Doula, Postpartum Doula, Pediatric Sleep Consultant, Childbirth Educator Growing up I always knew I wanted to work with babies. I went on to get a degree in early childhood development and have worked in the childcare field for over 10 years with infants. After becoming a certified pediatric sleep consultant in 2019 and working with many families, I realized there was so much more I could do to help parents thrive. This led me down the path of becoming a birth and postpartum doula. Educating and supporting families is my passion and I feel very privileged to get to do this work! My goal as a birth doula is to inform and support parents so they feel heard and remember birth as a happy experience. I was fortunate enough to have a positive birth experience when I had my daughter in 2014 but I know that is not the case for everyone. I would love to be able to change that. My goal as a postpartum doula is to make the transition of having a new baby as smooth as possible. I also have a degree in Early Childhood development, I am a certified pediatric sleep consultant and work as a nanny. I plan to become a certified lactation counselor in the future as well. I grew up in the Victor area and just built a house in Farmington where I live with my family of 3. We have a beautiful, sassy daughter who is my reason for being and keeps me always striving to do more! Doulas and Beyond http://doulasandbeyond.com 5854691782 doulasandbeyond@gmail.com

I am excited to use my intuitive and kind energy to help guide and empower families in their journey to parenthood. I have been an early childhood educator for 20 years in many different modalities, including Montessori education, family day care, and nanny work. • Mabel Primus, CLC

Lactation Counseling, Postpartum Doula Care Lactation Support Profile Meet Mabel Primus, CLC Lactation Counseling, Postpartum Doula Care Hi! I’m Mabel Primus. I’m a postpartum doula and certified lactation counselor (CLC) serving the Rochester area. I am very passionate about providing support to new families and especially to moms (and birthing parents) as they do a life transition that is often way more difficult than expected. In traditional societies, laypeople were very familiar with birth, breastfeeding, and community support during the childbearing year. Today, many parents go into the postpartum months never having witnessed these first newborn weeks and without nearly enough support. We tend to focus on the birth process (for good reason!) but don’t know how to adequately plan for the harrowing, sleepless, and altogether unique weeks and months following the welcoming of a new baby into the home. I am honored that you are considering inviting me into the sacred space of your home during this exciting time in your family’s life. I look forward to witnessing this part of your journey. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions! Mabel Primus Doula http://www.mabelprimusdoula.com 5857641651 mabelprimusdoula@gmail.com

She is fortunate to have a very supportive husband who understands all her passionate “hobbies”. You can find them both haunting bookstores, antique stores, flea markets, and the occasional curbside picking up pre-loved items for her shop or their home. Although Kirsten does her best to make every soccer game and school event, her teenage daughter is incredibly supportive when she needs to be with a client. • Melody E Osgood, LAc, trained doula

Birth Doula Profile Meet Melody E Osgood, LAc, trained doula Birth doula, in-home acupuncture, in- office acupuncture I'm a licensed acupuncturist, NCCAOM diplomate of acupuncture, certified hospice and palliative care acupuncturist and trained doula. I strive each day to provide the best possible care and education for my patients. Since a very young age, I always knew that I wanted to be a healthcare practitioner to help others on their journey to health. Originally intending to become a doctor, I attended Rochester Institute of Technology and studied Biomedical Sciences. It was while attending that program that I discovered that the Biomedical Approach to healthcare did not resonate with me. I took some time to evaluate my position after my Bachelor’s degree and in the process, I discovered acupuncture and loved that the paradigm is more about treating both the root and the branch of the illness. I later enrolled at the Finger Lakes School of Acupuncture and New York Chiropractic College. While in school, I discovered not only a passion for Traditional Chinese Medicine but also what acupuncture could do for my patients. After graduating, I took a particular interest in the life cycle and in the transitions we make as we go through events such as birth and death. This led me to pursue my certification in Hospice and Palliative Care Acupuncture as well as my DONA training as a Doula. I am currently working towards full DONA certification and I'm continuing my learning constantly in order to stay up to date and provide my patients the best care possible.
