  • Sara Dempsey, MRN, RN, DONA

Birth Doula Profile Meet Sara Dempsey, MRN, RN, DONA Birth Doula, Postpartum Care, Support Group My mission is to help you discover a birth experience that feels authentic, empowering, and free from fear or trauma—for both you and your baby. I’m a registered nurse with over a decade of healthcare experience, including a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on leadership and multiple certifications. For the past three years, I’ve served as a healthcare director, improving patient outcomes through strategic initiatives and data-driven decision-making. My background spans bedside nursing to hospital leadership, with experience at institutions such as Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago and the University of Rochester Medical Center. While I won’t provide medical care in my role as a doula, my clinical instincts remain an integral part of my approach. As a mother of two with personal hospital birth experiences and minimal interventions, I developed a deep respect for childbirth and maternal care. Becoming a DONA-certified birth doula was a natural extension of that passion. It’s an honor to support families through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum journey with care, respect, and unwavering dedication. • Morgan Moy CD, CLC, CBE

Birth and post partum (including overnight care), lactation counseling, childbirth education Fertility Doula Profile Meet Morgan Moy CD, CLC, CBE Birth and post partum (including overnight care), lactation counseling, childbirth education In 2018 I experienced a traumatic cesarean section when I gave birth to my daughter Audrey. As a first-time mom, no one had prepared me for how complicated and confusing birth could be. I knew in my heart that I didn’t want anyone to ever feel the way that I did that day, and I became a doula in 2019. After miscarrying our angel baby, Corey, in 2020, I became pregnant and had a successful vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC) with our son, Will in 2021. I couldn’t have done this without my doula’s support. My passion may have been born out of my traumatic experience, but it was my healing that drives my work every day because there is hope and healing in birth. My goal as a birth and postpartum doula and lactation counselor is to inform parents and parents-to-be on their choices during pregnancy, birth, and beyond. Born and raised and West Irondequoit, I married my high school sweetheart and spend my time playing with our kids, crocheting, walking our dogs, and swimming. I am also a licensed Speech Language Pathologist with a specialization in pediatric feeding therapy. The Doula Duo http://www.thedouladuo.com 5853148526 thedouladuo@gmail.con

  • Cris Puccia

Birth Doula Profile Meet Cris Puccia Birth Doula Hello! My name is Cris — I’m a full-spectrum doula based in Canandaigua, NY. I came to birth work after the birth of my first son, when I found myself wondering if other new parents were struggling (like me) or thriving and had people they could talk to about the realities of birth and parenthood. My own experience inspires my work, where I serve as a compassionate guide for pregnant people and their loved ones. In 2018, I completed birth doula training with Carriage House Birth in NYC and have since joined many birth teams, adapting my support to fit the specific needs of each experience. Today, I am on a continuous journey to deepen my practice of reproductive justice and care work. I support births in Rochester, Canandaigua, and nearby areas. Curious if we’re a good fit? I’d love to connect. https://www.doulanona.com/ 7163162713 cris.doulanona@outlook.com

  • Ashley Wyffels

Postpartum Doula Profile Meet Ashley Wyffels Birth Doula, Postpartum Doula, Pediatric Sleep Consultant, Childbirth Educator Growing up I always knew I wanted to work with babies. I went on to get a degree in early childhood development and have worked in the childcare field for over 10 years with infants. After becoming a certified pediatric sleep consultant in 2019 and working with many families, I realized there was so much more I could do to help parents thrive. This led me down the path of becoming a birth and postpartum doula. Educating and supporting families is my passion and I feel very privileged to get to do this work! My goal as a birth doula is to inform and support parents so they feel heard and remember birth as a happy experience. I was fortunate enough to have a positive birth experience when I had my daughter in 2014 but I know that is not the case for everyone. I would love to be able to change that. My goal as a postpartum doula is to make the transition of having a new baby as smooth as possible. I also have a degree in Early Childhood development, I am a certified pediatric sleep consultant and work as a nanny. I plan to become a certified lactation counselor in the future as well. I grew up in the Victor area and just built a house in Farmington where I live with my family of 3. We have a beautiful, sassy daughter who is my reason for being and keeps me always striving to do more! Doulas and Beyond http://doulasandbeyond.com 5854691782 doulasandbeyond@gmail.com

  • Kat Head

Postpartum Doula Profile Meet Kat Head Postpartum Doula Hello! I'm Kat Head, and I would be honored to support you during your postpartum period. I trained as a postpartum doula through the Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association (CAPPA) in March 2019 and have been working with Rochester families ever since. In 2020 I became a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) and really love the collaborative detective work that is lactation support. I enjoy working with families that use spoken English and/or American Sign Language. I became passionate about the postpartum period after having my first daughter in October 2017. I had a birth doula for that experience but hadn’t ever heard of a postpartum doula. I found that there is so much information out there about what to do or not do that it was tough to know who to believe or where to start. Now, as a doula, I feel strongly about providing evidence-based information and supporting whatever decision my clients come to. I am truly here to assist you in becoming the kind of parent you want to be. Areas of focus that I excel at include assistance with how to ask for help and community building, food preparation, spending quality time with older siblings, mental health support and bringing a calm and curious perspective to lactation challenges. In other areas of life, I am interested in ASL-English interpreting, being outside, homeschooling/unschooling, my amazing women friends, tarot, and the time to enjoy one amazing cup of coffee Kat the Doula https://www.katthedoula.com/ katheaddoula@gmail.com
